A REPORT ON THE HEALTH PROCESSION BY THE MICHAEL DE-GRAFT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION HELD AT TEMA NEWTOWN

On December 21st, 2024, the MDMF Team organized a health procession in Tema Newtown to create awareness about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The procession commenced  at 8:30 a.m., with 23 participants navigating through busy streets, markets, and homes. Some Volunteers held signs displaying critical information about the disease, while others distributed pamphlets to community members.

Volunteers highlighted the signs of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and encouraged regular health checkups. Residents showed interest, with several asking questions and requesting more information about the disease.

A minor issue arose when some vendors were initially hesitant to engage due to their busy schedules. The team resolved this by keeping interactions short and efficient, ensuring no one felt inconvenienced.

By the end of the procession, an estimated 220 people had been reached directly.

The Tema Newtown health procession was a success, contributing to the foundation’s mission of spreading awareness and educating the public about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

A REPORT ON THE HEALTH PROCESSION BY THE MICHAEL DE-GRAFT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION HELD AT ADENTA

On March 2nd, 2024, the MDMF Team carried out a health procession in the Adenta community to raise awareness about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The event started  at 9:00 a.m., with participants walking through the streets of Adenta, carrying placards with vital information on the symptoms, causes, and treatments of the disease. Volunteers also distributed pamphlets to residents, shops, and passersby to spread the message further.

Many residents expressed interest in knowing more about the disease, and volunteers actively answered questions while encouraging medical checkups for early detection.

Approximately 150 people were reached directly during the procession, and 2 individuals expressed interest in supporting future campaigns.

The Adenta health procession was successful, raising much-needed awareness and fostering important conversations about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

A REPORT ON THE HEALTH PROCESSION BY THE MICHAEL DE-GRAFT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION HELD AROUND KORLE BU TEACHING HOSPITAL

On August 24th, 2024 the MDMF Team organized a procession on the streets of Korle Bu, near the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, to raise awareness about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The event commenced  at 11a.m. The team engaged pedestrians, vendors, and residents, educating them on the symptoms, causes, and treatment options for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Pamphlets were distributed to ensure the message reached a wider audience. Volunteers actively interacted with people on the streets, answering questions and encouraging them to seek regular medical checkups.

A minor challenge was navigating through the busy streets, which occasionally slowed down the procession. Despite this, the team remained committed and successfully completed the walk. Approximately 200 people were directly engaged during the procession.

The procession was impactful and succeeded in creating greater awareness about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma within the Korle Bu community.
